Abstract
Fetal ovarian cysts represent 3% 6% of all fetal intraabdominal masses. The diagnosis is made usually during the 3rd trimester. The clinician should be aware of the possible complications such as rupture of the cyst or torsion during the antenatal surveillance. Timing and mode of delivery of fetuses with ovarian cysts depends on the usual obstetric causes, unless there is a complication with the need of emergent intervention in order to preserve fetal ovaries. During the postnatal period, the diameter and echogenicity of the cyst is determinative for the management. In this study, an antenatally diagnosed case with a fetal ovarian cyst is presented. The relevant literature with possible management options is reviewed.
Özet
Fetal over kistleri, tüm fetal abdominal kitlelerin %3-%6sını oluşturur.
