A Case of Stomach Burkitt Lymphoma

Abstract
Lymphoid neoplasms represent a heterogeneous group of neoplasms, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma and acute and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Burkitt lymphoma is a highly aggressive neoplasm of mature B cells in non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Stomach involvement occurs in only 10% of patients. Almost all cases are detected in the late stages as a bulky mass located in the abdomen or other gastrointestinal sites. In this report, we describe a 72-year-old female diagnosed with BL of the stomach.
Özet
Lenfoid neoplazmlar non-Hodgkin lenfoma, Hodgkin lenfoma, multiple myelom ve akut kronik lenfositik lösemi gibi heterojen bir grubu temsil ederler. Burkitt lenfoma nonHodgkin lenfomaların agresif matür B hücreli lenfomalarıdır. Burkitt lenfomada mide tutulumu hastaların sadece %10unda görülür. Bunların çoğu karın veya gastrointestinal sistemin diğer bölgelerinden kaynaklanan ve geç yakalanan büyük kitleler şeklindedir. Bu yazıda midenin burkitt lenfoması tanısını alan 72 yaşındaki kadın hastayı tartıştık.
