Anesthesia Management in Hajdu-Cheney Syndrome: A Case Report

Abstract
Hajdu-Cheney is a syndrome characterized by acro-osteolysis of distal phalanges and digital anomalies, specific craniofacial and skull changes, orofacial anomalies, flexibility in the joints, connective tissue disorder, and proportionate short stature. Patients with Hajdu-Cheney syndrome often require general anesthesia due to orthopedic disorders. Presently described is airway management in a female patient with Hajdu-Cheney syndrome while under general anesthesia. Literature related to the syndrome is also reviewed.
Özet
Hajdu-Cheney sendromu distal falankslarda akroosteoliz ve dijital anomaliler, özgün kraniyofasiyal ve kafatası değişiklikleri, orofasiyal anomaliler, eklemlerde esneklik ve orantısal boy kısalığı ile seyreden bağ dokusu bozukluğudur. Hajdu Cheney sendromlu olgular sıklıkla mevcut ortopedik bozuklukları nedeniyle genel anestezi uygulamasına gerek duyarlar. Bu yazıda, Hajdu-Cheney sendromlu kadın hastada genel anestezi sırasında uygulanan hava yolu yönetimi sunuldu. Sendromla ilgili anestezi literatürü gözden geçirildi.
