An alternative tourism in Turkey; health tourism

Abstract

Health tourism is a kind of a tourist came into the agenda of our country lately. Recently, with the world health tourism revenues increased by approximately six-fold to reach $ 3 billion, which is one of the countries wishing to operate in this field in Turkey was encouraged to venture in this regard. Increased demand, especially on the 22 new thermal hotel was built between 2007-2010. 46 provinces, 240 Hot Springs was the number of plants. Bed capacity was raised to 17,767 from to the 29,727. Sağlık turizmi son zamanlarda ülkemizin de gündemine giren bir turizm çeşididir. Son zamanlarda dünyada sağlık turizmi ile ilgili gelirlerin yaklaşık altı kat artarak 3 milyar doları bulması bu alanda faaliyet göstermek isteyen ülkelerden birisi olan Türkiye’yi de bu konuda girişim yapmaya teşvik etmiştir. Özellikle Artan talep üzerine 2007-2010 yılları arasında 22 yeni termal otel inşa edildi. Kaplıca tesis sayısı 46 ilde 240 oldu. Yatak kapasitesi ise 17,767’den 29,727’ye çıkarıldı. Türkiye’ye gelen ziyaretçileri deniz-kum-güneş üçgeninden çıkarmak isteyen Türkiye , ülkeyi sağlık turizminde de cazibe merkezi haline getirmek için çeşitli yatırımlar yapmaktadır. Türkiye Turizm Stratejisi 2023 ve Eylem Planı 2007-2013 kapsamında termal turizmi için 4 bölge oluşturuldu. 68 turizm merkezinde turizm yatırımcılarından talep beklenmektedir. Sonuç olarak Türkiye alternatif turizm alanlarından birisi olan Sağlık turizmi henüz istenilen seviyede değildir. Bu turizm faaliyeti ile ilgili yapılması gerekenler ise son bölümde ele alınmıştır.
