Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the effect of type of diabetes with route of delivery, birth weight and Apgar scores in pregnancies complicated with gestational, type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus. Institution: SSK Ankara Maternity and Women's Health Teaching Hospital Material and Methods: A total of 175 pregnancies complicated by diabetes mellitus resulted in delivery after 37 weeks of gestation were reviewed. National Diabetes Data Group (NDDG) criteria for oral glucose tolerance test was used in the diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus. Groups were compared for, maternal demographic properties, route of delivery, birth weight of the infant and Apgar scores at 5 minutes. Results: When the effect of type of diabetes on the route of delivery investigated, the cesarean section rates were 55.4%, 50% and 40.5% in GDM, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes respectively and these results were not statistically different. Amaç: Tip 1, 2 ve gestasyonel diabetes mellitus ile komplike olmuş gebeliklerde, diabet tipinin doğum şekli, doğum ağırlığı ve Apgar skoru ile ilişkisini incelemek Çalışmanın yapıldığı yer: SSK Ankara Doğumevi ve Kadın Hastalıkları Eğitim Hastanesi Materyal ve Metod: Hastanemizde 37 hafta üstünde doğum yapan 175 diabetik gebe çalışmaya dahil edildi. Gestasyonel diabetes mellitus (GDM) tanısı, National Diabetes Data Group (NDDG) tarafından belirlenen 3 saatlik oral glukoz tolerans testi (OGTT) ile konuldu. Gruplar maternal demografiközellikler, doğum ağırlığı veyenidoğan 5. dakika Apgar skoru açısından karşılaştırıldı.
