Analysis of Investment Decision in Iron and Steel Sector with Analytical Hierarchy Method (AHP)

Abstract

Determining the most suitable investment option for businesses is of great importance as a decision problem. It is very difficult to choose an investment alternative due to the criteria that affect the problem in a large number. Especially if there is a situation such as a purchase in the investment decision, it is necessary to be more careful when choosing an investment alternative. The aim of this study is to ensure the selection of the optimal investment option in an enterprise operating in the Iron and Steel Industry. In order to achieve this goal, it was tried to select the most suitable alternative by using Analytical Hierarchy Process, which is one of the Multiple Criteria Decision Making techniques.

Özet

İşletmeler açısından en uygun yatırım seçeneğinin belirlenmesi bir karar problemi olarak ciddi bir önem taşımaktadır. Yatırım alternatifinin seçilmesi için sorunu çok sayıda etkileyen kriterlerden kaynaklı olarak yatırım seçimi yapmak çok zor bir durum haline gelmektedir. Özellikle de yatırım kararında eğer bir satın alma gibi bir durum söz konusu ise yatırım alternatifi seçilirken çok daha dikkatli olunması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de ve Dünya’da lokomotif sektör özelliğine sahip olan Demir Çelik Sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir işletmede optimal yatırım seçeneğinin seçilmesini sağlamaktır. Bu hedefin gerçekleştirilebilmesi için Çok Kriterli Karar Verme tekniklerinden Analitik Hiyerarşi Prosesi kullanılarak en uygun alternatif seçilmeye çalışılmıştır.
