Migren hastalarında serum mağnezyum düzeyleri ve oksipital korteks transmanyetik stimülasyonu ile fosfen ilişkisi

Abstract
Purpose: In this study we investigate the occipital cortex excitability by using transmagnetic stimulation in 30 migraine patients(15 with aura, 15 without aura) and 31 healty volunteer person and relation of this excitability with serum Mg levelsMaterial and Method: We used Medelec Sapphire 4ME device to stimulate the occipital cortex. We also estimate the phosphene threshold and the serum Mg levels of patient and control group.Results: In migraneus patients phosphene appereance rate was not found to be different from the control group but the phosphene appereance threshold was lower significantly. Serum Mg levels was similar between two groups and there was no relation between Mg levels and phosphene appereance threshold in migraine patients.Conclusion: Our study showed the increased occipital cortex excitability in migraine patients however we didn't find any relation between serum Mg levels and increased occipital cortex excitability.
Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmada, interiktal dönemde 15'i auralı 15'i aurasız migreni olan 30 hasta ile 31 normal gönüllü denekte manyetik stimulasyonla oksipital korteks uyarılarak kortikal eksitabilite ve serum Mg düzeyi ile kortikal eksitabilite ilişkisi araştırılmıştır.Gereç ve yöntem: Çalışma sırasında Medelec Sapphire 4 ME cihazla oksipital korteks uyarımı ile fosfen görülme eşiği ve fosfen görülme oranı ile migren hastaları ve kontrol grubunda serum Mg değerleri çalışıldı.Bulgular: Migrenli hastalarda oksipital korteks uyarımı ile elde edilen fosfen görülme oranı normallerden farklı bulunmazken fosfen görülme eşiği kontrollerden anlamlı olarak düşük bulundu. Serum Mg düzeyi migrenli hastalarda kontrollerden farklı bulunmayıp migrenli hastalarda Mg düzeyi ile fosfen görülme eşiği arasında bir ilişki saptanmadı.Sonuç: Çalışmamız migrenli hastalarda oksipital korteksde eksitabilitenin arttığını ancak serum Mg düzeyi ile oksipital eksitabilite artışı arasında bir ilişki olmadığını düşündürmüştür.
