Abstract
Limbic system is involved in the intangible functions of brain like emotions, inborn andacquired emotional responses, self-awareness, ability to understand intentions of others andand memory. Apoptosis has a critical role in the developing brain and disruption ofdevelopmental apoptosis may lead to neurodevelopmental disorders. This review summarizesapoptotic processes in the limbic system during fetal brain development in normal andpathological conditions and focuses on the molecular mechanisms of apoptosis.
Özet
Limbik sistem beynin duygular, doğuştan gelen ve kazanılmış emosyonel yanıtlar,farkındalık, diğer kişilerin niyetlerini anlama yeteneği ve hafıza gibi karmaşık işlevlerinde yeralır. Apoptoz gelişmekte olan beyinde önemli bir göreve sahiptir ve gelişimsel apoptozdakiaksaklıklar nörogelişimsel bozukluklara sebep olabilir. Bu makale normal ve patolojikdurumlarda fötal beynin gelişimi sırasında limbik sistemde görülen apoptotik süreçleriözetlemekte ve apoptozun moleküler mekanizmalarına odaklanmaktadır.
