Zooplankton of Gorgusan Stream and Geban Stream (Elazıg-TURKEY)

Abstract

Samples were taken monthly from Gorgusan Stream and Geban Stream between November 2010 – October 2011 for determining the zooplankton fauna and observing their seasonal distribution from 3 stations. At the end of the study 23 species from Rotifera, 7 species from Cladocera and 2 species from Copepoda were observed. And also some chemical and physical parameters as pH, dissolved oxygen, water temperature were determined and found to be in suitable values for zooplankton life.

Özet

Görgüşan Çayı ve Geban Deresi zooplankton faunasının tespiti ve mevsimsel dağılımlarının saptanması amacı ile zooplankton örnekleri Kasım 2010 – Ekim 2011 tarihleri arasında iki bölgeden 3’er istasyondan aylık olarak alınmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda Rotifera’ya ait 23 tür, Cladocera’ya ait 7 tür ve Copepoda’ya ait 2 tür bulunmuştur. Ayrıca bazı fiziksel ve kimyasal parametreler (pH, çözünmüş oksijen, sıcaklık) belirlenmiş olup, bunların zooplankton yaşamı için uygun değerler içinde oldukları tespit edilmiştir.
