Morphology of Fibula in Large Ruminantia

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the morphological structure of fibula in large ruminantia. A total of 24 cruris bones were used in this study. Mitutoyo Digital Caliper was used to obtain morphometric measurements of the bones. As a result of the findings, the length values of the large ruminant varied among the materials examined. As a result of the findings, the length values of the fibula in the large ruminant varied between the materials examined. For this reason we thought that the length of the fibula should be considered in ossa cruris traumas and the obtained data will be contribute to anatomy literature.

Bu çalışma büyük ruminantia’da fibula’nın morfolojik yapısının detaylı olarakincelenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Çalışmada toplamda 24 adet ossa cruris kullanıldı. Kemiklerinmorfometrik ölçümlerini elde etmek için Mitutoya Dijital Kumpas’tan yararlanıldı. Eldeedilen bulgular sonucunda büyük ruminantia da fibula’nın uzunluk değerleri incelenenmateryaller arasında değişkenlik göstermekteydi. Bu nedenle ossa cruris travmalarındafibula’nın farklı uzunluklarda olabileceğinin göz önünde bulundurulması gerektiğini ve eldeedilen verilerin anatomi literatürüne katkı sağlayacağını düşünmekteyiz.
