Abstract
inexpensive markers of subclinical inflammation for chronic diseases. This study aimed to evaluate MHR and NHR in participants with different glucose tolerances. Material and Method: 1112 participants (male/female=392/720) were divided into five groups according to OGTT results: group 1 = normal glucose tolerance (NGT), group 2 = impaired fasting glucose (IFG), group 3 = isolated impaired glucose tolerance (IGT), group 4 = both IFG and IGT, and group 5 = type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Results were compared between groups. Results: The mean age of participants included in the study was 50.03 ± 13.62 years. 35.2% were men and 64.7% were women. Giriş: Monosit/HDL-kolesterol oranı (MHO) ve nötrofil/HDL-kolesterol oranı(NHO) kronik hastalıklar için subklinik inflamasyonun basit ve ucuz belirteçleridir. Bu çalışma, farklı glukoz toleranslarına sahip katılımcılarda MHO ve NHO'yu değerlendirmeyi amaçladı. Gereç ve Yöntem: 1112 hasta (erkek / kadın = 392/720) OGTT sonuçlarına göre beş gruba ayrıldı: grup 1 = normal glikoz toleransı (NGT), grup 2 = bozulmuş açlık glikozu (BAG), grup 3 = izole bozulmuş glukoz toleransı (BGT), grup 4 = hem BAG hem de BGT ve grup 5 = tip 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Sonuçlar gruplar arasında karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: Çalışmaya dahil edilen katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 50,03±13,62 olarak bulundu. %35,2’si erkek %64,7’si kadındı. Hastaların NGT grubundan T2DM grubuna ilerledikçe HbA1c, kreatinin, trigliserit, glukoz ve NHO değerlerinin arttığı, tahmini glomerüler filtrasyon hızı (tGFH) ve yüksek dansiteli lipoprotein kolesterol (HDLK) değerlerinin ise azaldığı görüldü (p
