The Tortricidae (Lep.) fauna of Marmara Region forests

Abstract

The distribition, host plants, type of damage and biology of Tortricidâe species which are living in Marmara Region are investigated by this study. The knowledge about the species living in this region were gathered from the available literatüre. After that, several surveys were made to several locations collecting materials on different dates. The collected and laboratory breeding insects were identified under the supervision of the specialists. Also, the morfolpgy, distribistion, host plants, biology and damage of these insects were studied. As a result of this study, 40 species of this familly which are living in this region were distinguished. The populations of some species were above the tolarance level.

Özet

Çalışmanın amacı, Marmara Bölgesi ormanlarında yaşamakta olan Tortricidae türleri ile bunların yayılışları, konukçu bitkileri, bu bitkilerde yaptığı zarar şekli ve biyolojilerini incelemektir. Öncelikle konuya ilişkin yerli ve yabancı yayınlar incelenerek Marmara Bölgesi ve çevresinde yaşadığı bilinen türler hakkında bilgi edinilmiştir. Bundan sonra, Marmara Bölgesi ormanlarına değişik tarihlerde surveyler düzenlenerek faunanın belirlenebilmesi için materyal toplanmıştır. Elde edilen türlerin morfolojileri, yayılışları, konukçulan, zararları ve biyolojileri belirlenmiştir. Sonuçta, 40 türün bölgede varlığı saptanmış olup bunlardan bazılarının tolerans sınırı üstünde populasyon oluşturduğu gözlenmiştir.
