The evaluation of user satisfaction degrees in Emirgan Park

Abstract

In our country, urbanization which grows rapidly and develops out of planning in the ratio of the other countries causes overpopulation and then it causes the human places being lost, social life quality being decreased. The outdoor spaces whether rural or urban places are being lost day by day.According to these, the main scope of this study is to examine the natural and historical identity of Emirgan Park in Istanbul, the physical change of natural, culturel, social and aesthetic values with over time, to determine today's usage as how well it satisfies the needs of the users, to evaluate the user satisfaction degrees, and finally to suggest sustainable usage of this park without destruction of the nature.

Özet

Ülkemizde kentleşme olgusunun, diğer ülkelere oranla daha büyük bir hızla ve plansız olarak artması, aşırı nüfus artışına ve sonucunda da insana dönük mekanların kaybolmasına, toplumsal yaşam kalitesinin bozulmasına ve gerek kent içi gerek kent çevresi açık alanların giderek yitirilmesine sebep olmaktadır.Bu bağlamda araştırmamızın temel amacı, Emirgan Parkı'nın, doğal ve tarihi kimliğinin incelenip, zaman içindeki doğal, kültürel, sosyal ve estetik değerlere bağlı olarak gerçekleşen fiziksel değişiminin irdelenmesi ve bugünkü kullanımının, kullamcı ihtiyaç ve gereksinimlerini ne derece karşıladığı, kullanıcıların memnuniyet durumlarının ne olduğunu belirlemek ve doğal doku tahribi olmaksızın sürdürülebilir kullanımının sağlanmasına yönelik öneriler getirmektir.
