Stratigraphic identification of the samples obtained from the surrounding of Pulur Metamorphic Massif (Bayburt, Eastern Pontides)

Pulur Metamorfik Masifi (Bayburt, Doğu Pontidler) civarından derlenen örneklerin stratigrafik değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

The studied area is located at the southern zone of the Eastern Pontides (SW Bayburt). Permocarboniferous is the oldest unit which overlies unconformably Pulur Metamorphic Massif in this region. This unit is also unconformably overlain by the late Triassic and Liassic volcano-sedimentary sequence which is deposited in a shallow marine environment. Later on, Dogger, Malm and Lower Cretaceous sediments have conformably deposited on this Late Triassic and Liassic sequence. In this study, Upper Triassic unit has been identified in the region investigated. Purbeckian (shallow marine facies) and Tithonic (hemipelagic/pelagic facies) well established in Late Malm age, the former during Upper Portlandian stage and the latter Tithonian stage.

Özet

İnceleme alanı, Doğu Pontidler'in güney zonunda (GB Bayburt) yer almaktadır. Bölgede Pulur Metamorfik Masifi'ni uyumsuz olarak örten Permokarbonifer yaşlı oluşuklar en eski birimi oluştururlar. Bu birim, sığ denizel ortamda çökelmiş ve Üst Triyas - Liyas yaşlı volkano-sedimanter serisi ile uyumsuz olarak örtülmüştür. Üstteki Dogger, Malm ve Alt Kretase tortulları ise, bu Üst Triyas - Liyas serisi üzerine uyumlu olarak gelmiştir. Bölgede daha önce tartışmalı olarak belirlenmiş olan Üst Triyas oluşuklarının varlığı, bu çalışma ile kesinlik kazanmıştır. Geç Malm'de ise Üst Portlandiyen katının Pürbekiyen (sığ denizel) ve Titoniyen katının Titonik (yarı derin/derin denizel) fasiyesleri de ortaya çıkartılmıştır
