Abstract

Medical balneological evaluation of the Aegean region thermomineral springs. The project was planned to conduct balneological evaluation of the Aegean region springs. Fifty thermal water were analysed in the study. Physical, chemical, bacteriological analyses were performed by the Laboratory of Balneochemistry and Balneobiology in our department. Forty of these springs are thermomineral waters while the rest ten are acratothermal. These water springs can be used for balneological treatment of various rheumatic and dermatological diseases and in drinking cure for urological and gastrointestinal diseases. Bacteriological contamination has been isolated in 12 of the springs. These results suggest that strict rules in the protection zones are not applied properly.

Özet

Çalışmada Ege bölgesi kaplıcalarının tıbbi balneolojik yönden değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Kaplıca merkezlerinde kullanılmakta olan 50 termal suyun fiziksel, kimyasal ve bakteriyolojik yönden anabilim dalı balneokimya ve balneobiyoloji laboratuvarında analizleri yapılmıştır. Kaynakların kırk tanesi termomineral, onu akratotermal sulardı. Bu kaynaklar çeşitli romatizmal ve dermatolojik hastalıkların tedavisinde banyolar şeklinde; ürolojik ve gastrointestinal sistem hastalıklarında içme kürleri şeklinde kullanılabilir niteliktedirler. Kaynakların on ikisinde saptanan bakteriyolojik kirlilik önlem almayı gerektirmektedir.
