Investigation of autism related with PCR-SSP technique

Abstract
The aim of the study was to investigate the relation of autism with HLA in DNA level. HLA-DR4, DR14 and B57 serologically detected antigens were analysed with PCR-SSP technique. DRB1*1407 allele was found to be related with autism. As HLA DR14 was found to be related to significancee of DRB 1*1407 allel with respect to controls (p=0.02) led us drive the suggestion that this may have relations with self-destructive behavior and autoimmune processes.
Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı Otistik Bozukluk ile HLA ilişkisini DNA düzeyinde belirlemektir. Serolojik yöntemle saptanan HLA-DR4, -DR14, -B57 antijenlerinin PCR-SSP yöntemiyle altgrupları araştırıldı. Otizm ile DRB 1*1407 aleli ilişkili bulundu. Ayrıca klinik parametrelerden sadece kendine zarar verici davranışla ilgisi olduğu önceki çalışmada saptanan (p=0.0006) HLA-DR14'ün DRB1*1407 alelinin otistik olgularda kontrollere göre daha anlamlı bulunması (p=0.02) kendini tanıma, kendine yönelik yıkıcı davranışlar ve otoimmün süreçlerle ilişkili olabileceğini düşündürmektedir.
