Abstract
One of the most important applications of calligraphy is architecture. Besidesaesthetic concerns, the scripts are written to give soul and spiritual meaning to the structures. The painting decoration stoa domes in the courtyard of the Üç şerefeli Mosque are the most important feature of the Ottoman structures in theearly period. This study focuses on the fifteenth century Qufic scripts and similar practices such as Celî Sulus and Celî Ta‟lîq which can be seen in in the decorative arts in Edirne. Along with the n ormal istifs created with the mentioned scripts, Musennâ istifs are also to be found in these decorations .
Özet
Hat sanatının önemli uygulama alanlarından birisi de mimari yapılardır. Yazılar, estetiğin yanında, özellikle yapıya ruh ve manevi bir iklim katmak için yazılmıştır. Osmanlı erken döneminin önemli yapılarından olan Üç şerefeli Caminin önemli bi r özelliği, avlu revak kubbelerini süsleyen kalem işleridir. XV. yy. Edirne tezyinatında, yazı türleri olarak Kûfi ve onun farklı uygulamaları, celî sülüs ve celî ta lîk yazılar görülmektedir. Söz konusu yazılarla oluşturulan normal istiflerin yanında, dikkat çeken önemli bir husus da tezyinat içerisinde yer alan müsennâ istiflerdir.
