The histopathological evaluation of soft tissue reactions to metal alloys

Abstract
In this researches different metal alloys (22 carat Au alloy, Degudent U, Wironit, Wiron-99, Wirolloy) were inserted subcutaneous tissue and mucosa of rats. Sofi tissue reacti¬ons at the end of second, sixteenth and thirty second days we¬re evaluated histopathologically. When the mucosal and subcutanous reaction of the two Ni-Cr alloys were compared with Cr-Co and gold alloys, the reaction rates were higher in the base metal alloys. On the other hand, it was observed that after the 32th. day the reaction in all alloy groups decreased.
Özet
Bu çalışmada deri altına ve damak mukozasına beş farklı metal alaşımı (22 Ayar Au alaşımı, Degudent U, Wironit, Wiron-99, Wirolloy) yerleştirilen sıçanlarda; 2.,16. ve 32. günler sonunda oluşan yjunuşafcdoku.re,-akşiyonlan histopatolojik olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak gerek mukoza gerekse deri altı inceleme¬lerde her iki Ni-Cr alaşımında görülen reaksiyonların, Cr-Co ve kıymetli alaşımlarda görülen reaksiyonlar¬dan daha fazla olduğu saptanmıştır. Ancak tüm alaşım¬larda görülen reaksiyonların 32. günden sonra hafifle¬diği görülmüştür.
