Abstract

Objective: In this study, Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) testwas applied in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Hippocampalvolumes were compared between healthy controls andpatients with MCI. Scores of MORBID scales and cognitive level werecompared among patients with MCI to investigate if there is a correlation.We aimed to investigate the availability of the test on thediagnosis.Methods: This study included 25 healthy controls and 25 patientsdiagnosed with MCI according to the Petersen criteria. Detailedneurological examination was performed. MoCA and StandardizedMini Mental State Examination (MMSE) were used in the patientgroup, whereas MMSE was used in all participants. To all exhibitorscranial magnetic resonance imaging was performed. Right andleft hippocampal volumes were calculated using special volumetricthree-dimentional T1-weighted inversion recovery sequence. Amaç: Bu çalışmada Hafif Bilişsel Bozukluk (HBB) olarak değerlendirilenhastalara Montreal Bilişsel Değerlendirme (MOBİD) ölçeği uygulandı.HBB tanısı alan hastalar ile sağlıklı kontrollerin hipokampalhacim ölçümleri karşılaştırıldı ve HBB olduğu düşünülen hastalarınMOBİD ölçek puanları ile bilişsel düzey arasında korelasyon olup olmadığınıngösterilmesi ve testin tanıda kullanılabilirliğinin araştırılmasıamaçlandı.Yöntemler: Çalışmaya Petersen kriterlerine göre HBB tanısı alan 25hasta ve sağlıklı 25 kontrol olmak üzere toplam 50 kişi dahil edildi. Katılımcılaraayrıntılı nörolojik muayene, hasta gruba Standardize MiniMental Test (SMMT) ve MOBİD, kontrol gruba SMMT uygulandı. Tümkatılımcılara Kraniyel Manyetik Rezonans Görüntüleme (MRG) yapıldı.Rutin Kranial MRG çekimi sırasında incelemeye eklenen 3 boyutlu T1Inversion Recovery (IR) sekansı ile sağ ve sol hipokampal hacimlerhesaplandı. HBB tanılı hasta ve kontrol grubunun nöropsikolojik testsonuçları ve hipokampal hacim ortalamaları ki kare ve student t testi,HBB tanılı hastalarda MOBİD ölçek puanları ile hipokampal hacimlerarasında ilişki Spearman korelasyon analizi ile incelendi.Bulgular: HBB olan hastalar ile sağlıklı kontroller arasında hipokampalhacimler ve SMMT puanları açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlıfark saptandı (sırasıyla p çağrı test test test
