Ototoxic Drugs and Their Effect to Inner Ear

Abstract
Ototoxicity is the potential structural or functional harm of a drug or chemical substance to the inner ear. There are many drugs or chemicals that show ototoxic features. Functions of hearing and balance of the inner ear may be harmed. In this review article, some commonly used drugs and chemicals that can cause cochlear harm and loss of hearing is to be mentioned.
Özet
Ototoksisite, bir ilaç veya kimyasal maddenin iç kulağa yapısal veya işlevsel olarak zarar verme potansiyeline denir. Ototoksik özellik gösteren pek çok ilaç ve kimyasal mevcuttur. İç kulağa zarar, işitme veya denge fonksiyonlarına olabilmektedir. Bu derlemede, işitme kaybı veya koklear hasar yapma özelliği bulunan ve sıkça kullanılan bazı ilaçlar ve kimyasal maddelerden söz edilecektir.
