Abstract
Ottomans (1299-1922) have attached attention to write calligraphy of the Qur an since its establishment. Hence, we know that the writers of The Qur an was close to Sultans. They had a significant presence in the door of higher councils of science and scientists. Because of that, the school of Calligraphy of the Qur an was developed. The development in embellishment and decoration accompanied by Calligraphy. Great scholars was emerged and they established a school for Qur anic Calligraphy which some calligraphers was graduated. They were succeeded by calligraphers of copies of the Qur an, the Hilya and Qur anic boards to the present day.
Özet
Osmanlılar (1299-1922) Osmanlının kuruluşundan beri Kuranın yazılması konusuna ilgi duymuşlardır. Hatta Osmanlı Sultanlarının Kuran hattatlarını daima kendilerine yakın tuttukları bilinmektedir. Hattatların Osmanlı ilim meclislerinde kaydadeğer bir varlığı bulunmaktaydı. Hat sanatıyla birlikte tezhib sanatının da geliştiği Osmanlıda büyük hattatlar, kendileri gibi önemli hattatların yetiştiği bir kaligrafi okulu tesis etmişlerdi. Kuran, hilye ve hat tabloları aracılığıyla devam ettirilen geleneksel hat sanatı günümüze kadar ulaşmıştır.
