Abstract

Metaphor is an important style in the literary expression. This method was used in the Qur an frequently; and the width of meaning and variety of message were sought in the interpretation of metaphorical expressions. This facility that was provided by metophorical expressions provided has taken its place in tafsir/exegesis today as had in past. Although linguists determined some conditions and characteristics for an expression to be considered as metophorical, the truth and metaphor showed variability according to interpreters. This article briefly refers to the historical roots of interpretation of metaphorical expressions briefly, and shows there are conclusions difficult to accept in today s exegesis works today thus the debate rekindles much more.

Özet

Mecâz, edebi anlatımda başvurulan önemli bir üsluptur. Bu enstrüman Kuranda sıkça kullanılmış, mecâzî ifadelerin yorumunda ise anlam genişliği ve mesaj çeşitliliği aranmıştır. Mecâzî ifadelerin sağladığı bu imkân geçmişte olduğu gibi günümüz tefsirinde de yerini almıştır. Her ne kadar dilciler bir ifadenin mecâz sayılabilmesi için şartlar ve özellikler belirlemişlerse de hakîkât-mecâz, yorumculara göre değişkenlik arz etmiştir. Bu çalışmada mecâzi ifadelerin yoruma tabi tutulmasının tarihi kökenine kısaca değinilmiş, günümüz tefsirinde ise zaman zaman kabulü zor sonuçlara ulaşıldığı böylece tartışmanın daha fazla alevlendiği gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır.
