The Guran parables as an effective material and its usage in values education

Abstract

This study focuses on the importance of using Quran parables- in other words religious stories-in classes in addition to many educational materials that are used in value education in schools. Also, it includes some suggestions on which different methods can teachers apply by using parables to arouse the students interest and curiosity because, growing individuals try to understand the abstract concepts and topics while creating their religious identities and personalities. For this reason they need the real events which they can identify themselves with and take as example. It can be said that religious stories provide a kind of mental impression to students in the classes. In this way, with the help of a story perceptions can be shaped and it is possible to reach subconscious.

Özet

Bu çalışma okullarda değer öğretiminde kullanılan birçok eğitim materyaline ek olarak Kuran Kıssalarının yani dini hikâyelerin derslerde kullanılmasının önemi üzerinde durmaktadır. Ayrıca kıssaların öğrencilerin ilgi ve merakını uyandırması için öğretmenlerin farklı hangi yöntemleri uygulayabileceği üzerine bazı öneriler içermektedir. Çünkü yetişmekte olan bireyler dini kimlik ve kişiliklerini oluştururken soyut konu ve kavramları anlamaya çalışırlar. Bu nedenle, çevrelerinde örnek alabileceği, özdeşim kurabileceği yaşanmış olaylara ihtiyaç duyarlar. Derslerde kullanılan dini hikâyelerin öğrencinin algılarını biçimlendirerek ve bilinçaltına ulaşarak bir tür zihinsel izlenim sağladığı söylenebilir.
