Demythologization of the holy scripture and the historical reality of the Quranic Narrations

Abstract
Our aim in this study is to determine whether there is a connection be- tween the process, which became a current issue by the criticism of holy texts in the West and then continued with the efforts to purify the Holy Scripture from the mythological elements, and the approach, which was brought into agenda in the context of the parables in Quran and ques- tioned the historical reality of the parables and expressed that some of these were mythological, or not.
Özet
Bu çalışmadaki hedefimiz, Batıda kutsal metin kritisizmi ile gündeme gelen ve daha sonra Kitab-ı Mukaddesin mitolojik unsurlardan arındırılması çabasıyla devam eden sürecin, Kuran kıssaları bağlamında gündeme getirilen ve kıssaların tarihi gerçekliğini sorgulayan, bunlardan bir kısmının mitolojik bir yapıya sahip olduğunu ifade eden yaklaşım arasında bir bağlantının olup olmadığını tespit etmeye çalışmaktır.
