Abstract

STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS IN A SHORT STORY IN JORDAN:STORIES INSAF QALAJI AS A MODELAbstractThis study’s subject is stream of consciousness in short story in Jordan,and it takes four Collections of short stories for Insaf Qalaji as a wayto prove her thesis, talked about the literary achievement of the authorand traced the meanings of stream of consciousness, and it stood on theconnotations and its lexical meanings, but at the beginning it took a lookat the short story in Jordan, in terms of its inception, and the early stagesof development.The study found that some researchers confused between monologue andstream of consciousness, although the concept of stream of consciousnessis broader than the internal monologue, as the monologue subsumedunder it, and not vice versa.The study found that many of researchers saw the novel genre appropriatefor the stream of consciousness where they directed their attention, infact, the short story is not less important than the novel for this trend,and its forms and functions.The study found that the Jordanian stories writer Insaf Qalaji widelyfocused on stream of consciousness, so most of her stories on were thistrend. The study concluded a clear and specific results in her field.

Özet

Bu çalışma, İnsaf Kal’aci’nin 4 kısa öykü koleksiyonu özelinde Ürdün kısaöykülerindeki bilinç akışını konu almaktadır. Çalışmada öncelikle yazartanıtılmış, ardından bilinç akışı tekniğini kullanma yöntemleri ele alınmış,çağrışımları ve sözlük anlamları üzerinde durulmuş, sonrasında Ürdünkısa öykücülüğünün gelişimine de değinilmiştir.Çalışma sonucunda, bazı araştırmacıların monolog ve bilinç akışıtekniklerini birbirine karıştırdığı görülmüştür. Bu duruma muhtemele,bilinç akışı kavramının iç monolog kavramından daha geniş olması ve onukapsaması neden olmuştur.Çalışmanın bir başka bulgusu ise, yazarların genellikle roman türünübilinç akışı tekniğinin kullanımı için daha uygun bir alan olarak kabuletmeleri ve dikkatlerini daha çok bu Alana çevirmeleri olmuştur. Oysakısa öykü, hem biçim hem de işlev bakımından, bu teknik için romandandaha önemsiz bir alan değildir.Ürdünlü öykü yazarı İnsaf Kal’aci öykülerinde bilinç akışı tekniğineodaklanmış ve bu teknikle pek çok öykü kaleme almıştır.
