Islam is the religion of all prophets from the first prophet Adam to the last prophet Muhammad. In this respect, the term Islam and surrender were emphasized, in the Qur'an. "Silm", which is the root of the word "Islam" used in the Quran for surrender to Allah Almighty, means trust and peace; the word "sâlam" means happiness, well-being and trust. The Quran also named this religion based on revelation as "Islam". Islam is to surrender to Allah Almighty and to obey Him. Islam is the servant's surrendering to God, and his attachment to Him with faith and sin-cerity. The Qur'an provides some examples of this genuine understanding of surrender, such as believers' surrendering, Abraham' (as) surrendering, Jacob' (as) surrendering, and the Apostles' surrendering to Allah.

Kur'ân'dabuhakîkîteslîmiyetanlayışınamü'minlerin,Hz.İbrâhîm'in,Hz.
