Abstract
The relationship between religion and science has been the subject of ongoing debates, from the past to the present, on the ground of both consensus and conflict. It is seen that this problem, which has historically been a basis for discussions in the form of religionphilosophy and reason-revelation etc., has been escalated in parallel with the developments in natural sciences especially after the Renaissance and the Enlightenment. The dialectical discussion environment created by the confrontation of different disciplines by referring to the same real field, namely, the universe, has brought about the efforts to demonstrate that both approaches are right. Since religion and science are two reading formats in the same universe, a relationship between them can be mentioned, but approaches such that they are alternatives to each other or the existence of one makes the existence of the other impossible does not seem acceptable. If the Islamic tradition of thought is examined, it is seen that those who accept that there is a consensus between religion and science act through the concept of Sunnatullah/Adatullah by highlighting the constant relationship of nature with Allah while grounding their views. Therefore, it is clear that what is said around the concept of legality means special importance in terms of understanding and explaining the relationship between religion and science in a healthy and accurate way. In this article, it is aimed to examine the relationship between religion and science, which is thought to be based on harmony between religion and science, through a Qurancentered approach that forms the latest ring of the chain that is the source of faith concept of monotheist religions, and to base it on the perspective of legality instead of conflict.
Farklı disiplinlerin aynı reel alana, yani evrene referansta bulunarak karşı karşıya gelmelerinin yarattığı diyalektik tartışma ortamı, her ikiyaklaşımın da kendisinin haklı olduğunu ortaya koyma çabalarını beraberinde getirmiştir.
