Naqib Al-Ashrafs from Ankara and Their Naqib Al-Ashraf Record Books in the Archive of Meshihat

Ankaralı Nakîbüleşraflar ve Meşîhat Arşivi’ndeki Nakîbüleşraf Defterleri

Abstract

Throughout the history of Islam, The family of the Prophet, his close relatives and his descendants had an important position in the eyes of Muslims and it was accepted that it was a religious duty to count and love them. In time, the organization of naqîb al-ashraf (niqâbet) was established to perform some services related to them. Many naqîb al-ashrafs were appointed as the head of this organization, which gained its corporate identity during the Ottoman period, until the declaration of the Republic. Some of these naqîb al-ashrafs are from Ankara, and the naqîb al-ashraf record books kept during these periods have survived to the present day. In this article, the life stories of these naqîb al-ashrafs from Ankara will be told and the record books kept during their term of duty will be introduced.

Özet

İslam tarihi boyunca Hz. Peygamber’in ailesi, yakın akrabaları ile onun soyundan gelenler Müslümanlar nezdinde önemli bir mevkiye sahip olmuş ve bunları sayıp sevmenin dinî bir vazife olduğu kabul edilmiştir. Zamanla bunlarla ilgili bazı hizmetleri yerine getirmek üzere nakîbüleşraflık (nikâbet) teşkilatı kurulmuştur. Bünyesinde bazı görevliler bulunan bu teşkilâtın sorumlusuna ise nakîbüleşraf denilmiştir. Kurumsal kimliğine Osmanlı döneminde kavuşan bu teşkilatın başına Cumhuriyet’in ilanına kadar birçok nakîbüleşraf atanmıştır. Bu nakîbüleşraflardan bazıları Ankaralı olup bunlar döneminde tutulan nakîbüleşraf defterleri de günümüze ulaşmıştır. Bu makalede, Ankaralı bu nakîbüleşrafların hayat hikâyeleri anlatılacak ve nakîbüleşraflık görevleri döneminde tutulan defterler tanıtılacaktır.
