Abstract
Bacteriological and mycological investigations on 87 patients with otomycotic infections were made. Samples obtained from outer ear were first examined directly under the microscope in 20 % KOH solution. Cultures for bacteria and fungi were made. In 59 samples, mycological cultures were positive; in 38 (64 %) Asperaillus niaer. and in 10 (17 %) Candida albicans were isolated. In nine (15 %) of samples Asperaillus fumiaatus and two (4 %) Mucor species were detected. In samples of mixt infection, the most prevalent bacteria were Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruainosa.
Özet
Dış kulak yolu infeksiyonu (otomikoz) tanısı konulan 87 hasta mikolojik ve bakteriyolojik yönden incelendi. Dış kulak yoluna ilişkin örnekler % 20 KOH çözeltisi ie'direkt mikroskobik olarak incelendi. Bakteri ve mantar kültürleri yapıldı. Mantar kültürü yapılan örneklerin 59 (%% 67.8)'unda mantar pozitif olarak belirlendi. Mikoz etkenlerinden 38 (% 64)'i Asperaillus niaer. dokuzu (% 15) Asperaillus fumiaatus. 10'u (% 17) Candida albicans. ikisi (% 4) Mucor spp. olarak saptandı. Karışık infeksiyonda en sık belirlenen bakteriler Staphvlococcus aureus ve Pseudomonas aeruainosa olarak bulundu.
