Evaluation of six clinical cases due to acinetobacter species

Abstract

Of the six Acinetobacter spp. isolated from different clinical specimens two were identified as A. Iwoffi and four as A. calcoaceticus. Acinetobacter spp. were isolated from post-operative wound infection, wound on the amputation area, infected lipoma, decubitus ulcer, wound due to arterial obstruction and sputum, respectively. According to the antibiotic resistance tests, all of the species were sensitive to quinolones, 2nd and 3rd generation cefalosporins and imipenem. Sensitivity to trimethoprime-sulphamethoxazole was variable. All of the species were resistant to amoxycillin+clavulonic acid, mezlocillin and tetracycline.

Özet

Altı değişik klinik örnekten izole edilen Acinetobacter türlerinin ikisi Acinetobacter Iwoffi. dördü A. calcoaceticus olarak saptanmıştır. Acinetobacter türleri, sırası ile, ameliyat yarası, dekübit ülseri, amputasyon yerinde yara, infekte lipom, aterosklerotik tıkanma sonucu gelişen yara ve balgamdan izole edilmiştir. Yapılan antibiyotik duyarlık deneylerine göre suşlann tümü kinolonlara, 2. ve 3. kuşak sefalosporinlere ve imipeneme duyarlı bulunmuştur. Trimetoprim-sulfametoksazole değişken bir duyarlılık gözlenirken suşlann tümü amoksisilin+kiavuionik asit, meziosiiin ve tetrasikiine dirençli bulunmuştur.
