Abstract

On hundred-ninety-six children with bacterial meningitis were hospitalized in the Clinic of Infectious Diseases, Izmir Dr. Behçet Uz Children's Hospital, between March 1992 and March 1994. Subdural effusion developed in 36 of these with no subsequent motor-mental retardation, focal neurologic deficit or convulsive disorder at the end of two years of follow-up.

izmir Dr. Behçet Uz Çocuk Hastanesi İntaniye Servisi'nde Mart 1992 - Mart 1994 tarihleri arasında izlenen 196 meninjitli olgudan subdural efüzyon gelişen 36'sı prospektif olarak iki yıl süre ile izlenmiş; hiçbirinde motor-mental retardasyon, fokal nörolojik patoloji ve konvülzif hastalık gözlenmemiştir.
