Abstract

The objective of this study was to measure the alterations in serum trace elements, including selenium (Se), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), in patients with brucellosis. The serum trace elements were measured by using atomic absorption spectrophotometer in sera of patients with brucellosis (n=23, mea age = 28.9±10.1), and statistically compared with those of healthy individuals (n=32, mean age = 33.4±16.2). Bu çalışmada, serum iz elementlerinden selenyum (Se), çinko (Zn) ve bakır (Cu) atomik absorbsiyon spektrofotometre kullanılarak brusellozlu hastaların (n=23, yaş ortalaması = 28.9±10.1) serumlarında belirlendi ve istatistiksel olarak sağlıklı bireylerin (n=32, yaş ortalaması = 33.4±16.2) değerleri ile kıyaslandı. Serum Cu düzeyleri hasta grupta 26.08±1.00 µmol/L olarak bulundu ve bu değer önemli ölçüde sağlıklı bireyler grubundan yüksekti (17.46±0.61 µmol/L) (p
