Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine streptomycin resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Thirty M. tuberculosis and as a control H37Rv strain were used. Susceptibility testing of streptomycin was performed with proportion method described by NCCLS (M24-T). The used concentration of streptomycin was 2 $mu$g/ml. The rate of resistance to streptomycin was detected as 37 %.

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Mycobacterium tuberculosis suşlarında streptomisin direncini araştırmak idi. Otuz M. tuberculosis suşu ve kontrol olarak da H37Rv standart suşu kullanılmıştır. Streptomisin duyarlılığı NCCLS'in (M24-T) tanımladığı proporsiyon yöntemine göre yapılmıştır. Kullanılan streptomisin konsantrasyonu 2 $mu$g/ml idi. Sonuç olarak, streptomisine karşı %37 direnç saptanmıştır.
