THE CONTRIBUTION OF KOPRULU FAMILY TO QURAN AND QIRAAH EDUCATION

KÖPRÜLÜ AİLESİNİN KUR’ÂN EĞİTİMİ VE KIRAATİNE KATKILARI

Abstract

The article is about the contributions of Köprülü family to the Quran and Qiraah education. In the description of the theme, firstly the general information about the Köprülü family which participated greatly to the development of the Quranic education and its Qiraah has been given and the matters of these contributions are related afterwards. The services of the Köprülü family relevant to the education of the Quran and Qiraah, the institutions found by them in this regard, research interests and modules for Quranic education and Qiraah in these institutions and the studies and works of the members of Köprülü family concerning Quranic Qiraah were dealt with in three main titles. The resources that are used in the expression of the matter are mainly charter certificates of Köprülü foundations as well as academic dissertations, articles and encyclopedia entries referring to these foundations. The objective of the article is to unveil the services that Köprülü family granted in respect thereof and consequently, to present an outlook on the viewpoint of the Ottoman senior bureaucrats towards the education of the Quran and its Qiraah in the period they were living in. As a result, it was concluded that the Köprülü family contributed in various aspects to the Quranic education and its Qiraah and that these contributions consisted of three different fields; establishment of institutions, the specialization fields in these institutions and the book writings directed to the field.

Özet

Makale Köprülü ailesinin Kur’ân eğitimi ve kıraatine yönelik katkılarını ele almıştır. Konunun anlatımında öncelikle Kur’ân eğitimi ve kıraatiyle ilgili hizmetleri bulunan Köprülü ailesiyle alakalı genel bilgiler verilip sonrasında bahsi geçen katkılara değinilmiştir.Köprülü ailesinin Kur’ân eğitimi ve kıraatiyle alakalı hizmetleri, tesis etmiş oldukları kurumlar ile bu kurumlardaki Kur’ân eğitimi ve kıraatine dair istihdam alanları ve Köprülülerden Kur’ân kıraatiyle alakalı eser telifinde bulunan bireylerin telifleri olmak üzere üç ana başlıkta ele alınmıştır. Konunun anlatımında istifade edilen kaynaklar daha ziyade Köprülü vakfiyeleri ile bu vakfiyelerle alakalı yazılan tez, makale ve maddelerdir.Makalenin yazılış amacı Köprülülerin bahsi geçen husustaki hizmetlerini ortaya çıkarmak suretiyle içinde bulundukları dönemde Kur’ân eğitimi ve kıraatine yönelik Osmanlı üst düzey bürokratlarının bakış açısına yönelik perspektif sunmaktır. İncelemeler sonucunda Köprülü ailesinin Kur’ân eğitimi ve kıraatine dair değişik yönlerden katkılarının bulunduğu, bu katkıların daha ziyade tesis edilen kurumlar, bu kurumlardaki istihdam alanları ile alana yönelik kitap teliflerinden ibaret olmak üzere üç farklı sahadan oluştuğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
