Abstract
Literary texts are cultural texts that also reflect the culture of a society. In this article, the reflections of German people s superstitious beliefs will be analyzed and Theodor Storm s novella Kıratlı will be read as a cultural text. Superstitions, one of the cultural factors that have entered with the new historicist method into novella, will be discussed.

ÖZET Edebi metinler aynı zamanda bir toplumunun kültürünü yansıtan kültür metinleridir. Bu makalede Theodor Stormun Kıratlı adlı noveline yansıyan Alman halkının batıl inançları bulunacak dolayısıylaKıratlı bir kültür metin olarak okunacaktır.
