Teaching of the 'Avagadro Number' by Using the Method of Socrates Finding

Buldurma (Sokrates) Yönteminin Kullanılarak ‘Avagadro Sayısı’nın Öğretilmesi

Abstract

The purpose of this study is; active teaching methods appropriate to the constructivist education approach to try to teach "avagadro number" which is seen as a complex with the Socratic method. This method has taken its place in active teac-hing methods from modern education approaches. The univer-se of your research; In Kayseri Province, Kocasinan Province, there are 648 students studying in High School again; voluntee-red to work with 40, 10th-grade students. In this sample, 20 students control the experiment to control 20 students. To learn to learn the mole concept, classical teaching methods have been used in the control group to refer to teaching methods. In the results of working; active teaching methods test students who were trained by the Socratic method were seen to be more suc-cessful than control group students based on the final test eva-luation and classroom observations.

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı; yapılandırmacı eğitim anlayışına uy-gun aktif öğretim yöntemlerinden Sokratik yöntemle karmaşık olarak görülen “avagadro sayısı” öğretilmeye çalışılmaktır. Bu yöntem modern eğitim anlayışlarından aktif öğretim yöntemle-ri içerisinde yerini almaktır. Araştırmanın evrenini; Kayseri İli, Kocasinan İlçesindeki bir Lisede öğrenim gören 648 öğrenci, örneklemini ise; çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılan 40 tane, 10.sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Bu örneklemde 20 öğrenci de-ney grubunu 20 öğrenci ise kontrol grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Mol kavramı konusu deney grubunda Sokratik yöntemle öğre-tim yaklaşımına göre işlenirken kontrol grubunda klasik öğre-tim yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda; aktif öğretim yöntemlerinden Sokrates yöntemiyle eğitim gören deney grubu öğrencileri son test değerlendirmesi ve sınıf içi gözlemlere da-yalı olarak kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre daha başarılı ol-dukları görülmüştür.
