Causal relationship between agricultural production and agri-cultural credit use in Turkey

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a causal relationship between the useof agricultural credit an agricultural production. For this purpose, an 18 year time series data was used betweenthe years of 1995-2012. To test the causality between agricultural production and agricultural credit, AugmentedDickey-Fuller (ADF) unit root test, Johansen co-integration test and Granger causality tests were used. Accordingto the results of Granger causality analysis, there is a unidirectional causality from agricultural production toagricultural credit use.
Özet
Çalışmanın amacı, tarımsal üretim ile tarımsal kredi kullanımı arasında nedensellik ilişkisi olup olmadığınıtespit etmektir. Bu amaçla çalışmada 1995-2012 yılları arası 18 yıllık zaman serisi verisi kullanılmıştır. Tarımsalüretim ile tarımsal kredi arasındaki nedenselliği test etmek için Augmented Dicky-Fuller (ADF) birim kök testi,Johansen eş bütünleşme testi ve Granger nedensellik testi kullanılmıştır. Granger nedensellik analizi sonuçlarınagöre; tarımsal üretim ile tarımsal kredi arasında tarımsal üretimden tarımsal krediye doğru tek yönlü bir nedensellikilişkisinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
