Construction of the Çanakkale/Gallipoli Martyrs' Memorial and the People's Contributions

Abstract
This article examines the construction process of the Çanakkale/Gallipoli Martyrs' Memorial from the project competition to the opening ceremony and presents that financial obstacles of the construction were overcame with a donation campaign. The Memorial was completed with the donations collected from people.

Bu makale Çanakkale Şehitleri Abidesi'nin inşa edilmesi için atılan adımları proje yarışmasından, abidenin açılışına kadar inceleyerek, yapım aşamasında ortaya çıkan maddi sorunların yardım kampanyası ile halktan toplanan yardımlarla atlatıldığını ortaya koymaktadır. Abide ancak halktan toplanan yardımlar ile tamamlanabilmiştir.
