Abstract
This study examines the construction process of Mecidiye Mosque, built by Ottoman Sultan Abdulmecid , and its complex with its fountain and eleven shops on the Island of Chios in light of Ottoman archival documents and presents that the mosque and its complex costed 400,000 Ottoman kuruş

Bu çalışma, Sultan Abdülmecid'in Sakız Adası'nda inşa ettirdiği Mecidiye Camii, çeşmesi, muvakkithanesi ile vakfa gelir amaçlı yaptırılmış olan 11 adet mağazanın hizmete açılıncaya kadar ki sürecini arşiv belgeleri ışığında inceleyerek caminin ve müştemilatının maliyetinin 400.000 kuruş olduğunu tespit etmektedir
