Abstract

This article examines the contributions of Gumushane people to supply the logistical needs of Ottoman army during World War I and presents that despite their struggle against famine, diseases and Russian invasion, poverty-stricken Gumushane people made a major sacrifice to provide for the Ottoman military

Bu makale I. Dünya Savaşı esnasında Osmanlı ordusunun ihtiyaçlarının sağlanmasında Gümüşhane halkının yaptığı katkıları inceleyerek, fakir Gümüşhane halkının savaş sırasında kıtlık, hastalık ve işgal ile uğraşmasına rağmen orduya sağladığı katkılarla büyük bir fedakârlıkta bulunduğunu tespit etmektedir
