Abstract

This article examines the 1931 Jerusalem/Islam Congress, which was convened to attract the attention of Muslim nations to the Palestine issue, and presents that because of Turkey’s concern to know whether or not caliphate issue would be on the agenda, Turkey did not sent a representative to the congress and learned about its course through G. Britain and Egypt

Özet

Bu makale 1931 yılında Filistin meselesine Müslüman toplumların dikkatini çekmek amacıyla toplanan Kudüs/İslam Kongresi'ni inceleyerek, Türkiye'nin kongrenin gündemine halifelik meselesinin gelip gelmeyeceği konusunda endişeleri nedeniyle delege göndermeden İngiltere ve Mısır vasıtasıyla kongrede olup bitenlerden haberdar olduğunu tespit etmektedir
