Abstract
After the death of The Mamluk Turkish State Sultan Malik al-Nāsir Muhammad b. Qalāwūn, the his sons of Abū Bakr, Kujuk, Ahmad, Ismāʿil, Shaʿbān, Hājjī, Hasan and Sālih had reign in turn. This period between the years 1341-1361 is regarded as the beginning of the process which resulted in the loss of rule of the Circassian Mamluks in 1382. In this period which we can also call the immovable process of the Circassian Mamluks, the eight sons of Malik al-Nāsir Muhammad were removed from the throne by being killed by amirs, except Ismāʿil. In this period when the clash of state-bureaucracy was at its peak, while the sultans tried to establish the central authority, the amirs insisted on the monarchical system, which is the traditional management mentality of the state. Abū Bakr, the first son of Malik al-Nāsir Muhammad, in general, adhered to his father's policies and lost his life and the throne for these policies. In our paper, Abū Bakr’s struggle, who ascended the throne during this first period which we see as the beginning of the disintegration process of the Circassian Mamluks, firstly with Amir Qawsūn and oder amirs is evaluated, in the light of the resources that blongs to the period.
