NARRATIVE PRODUCTION PROCESSES IN THE STRUCTURALCONSTRUCTION OF ANCIENT GREECE

Abstract

The cultural chronology of Ancient Greecebegins with the Geometric Period. However,most of the Geometric Period is in the DarkPeriod that started from the 12th century BC.How the Dark Period was a productive processfor the basic structure of "Ancient Greece" hasbeen observable and evaluated since the 8thcentury BC. 8-7 Centuries BC It is clear that thedominant element of discursive production,which could be written down in the centuries, ismythos (Homeros and Hesiodos). Mythos areanother production in darkness and I think thisparametric dimension of cultural chronology canbe called "Narrative Period". The NarrativePeriod is a narrative, discursive andtransferential production range that createsanother dimension and space in the matrix. Thearchaeology of such a cultural period has to bean archaeology focused on discourse andindicators. The archaeology of the NarrativePeriod is discourse archaeology. Discourse is themythos itself as a building block. One of themost important examples of this situation is theCalydon Wild Boar Hunt mythos, which wasdeconstructed in the article.

Eski Yunan’ın kültür kronolojisi Geometrik Dönemile başlar. Bununla birlikte Geometrik Dönem’in büyük bir kısmı MÖ 12. Yüzyıldan itibaren başlayanKaranlık Dönem’in içindedir. Karanlık Dönem’in“Eski Yunan”ın temel yapısı için nasıl bir üretici süreçolduğu MÖ 8. yüzyıldan itibaren gözlemlenebilir vedeğerlendirilebilir olmuştur. MÖ 8-7. yüzyıllarda yazıya dökülebilmiş söylemsel üretimin egemenöğesinin mythoslar olduğu ortadadır (Homeros veHesiodos). Mythoslar karanlığın içinde başka birüretimdir ve kültürel kronolojinin bu parametrikboyutu “Naratif Dönem” olarak adlandırılabilirdüşüncesindeyim. Naratif Dönem matriste başka birboyut ve alan oluşturmuş öyküsel, söylemsel veaktarımsal bir üretim aralığıdır. Böyle bir kültüreldönemin arkeolojisi de söylem ve göstergeleri odaklıbir arkeoloji olmak durumundadır. Naratif Dönem’inarkeolojisi söylem arkeolojisidir. Söylem bir yapıtaşıolarak bizzat mythosun kendisidir. Bu duruma enönemli örneklerden biri makalede sökümü denenmişolan Kalydon Yaban Domuzu Avı mythosudur.
