Abstract

This article examines the the Republic of Khorezm Shuras founded by the Young Khivans, an offshoot of the Jadidism movement in the Khanate of Khiva, and argues that with its new constitution, modern nation-state, and democratic structure, the Republic of Khorezm Shuras assumed a special place in the history of democracy among Turks in Turkestan

Bu makale Ceditçilik Hareketi'nin Hive Hanlığı'ndaki yansıması olan bilinen Yaş Hiveliler Hareketi tarafından kurulan Harezm Şuralar Cumhuriyetini incelemekte ve bu devletin anayasası, modern milli, ve demokratik yapısıyla Türkistan Türklerinin demokratikleşme tarihinde önemli bir yer edindiğini tespit etmektedir
