Abstract
In this study, the adaptation to aquaculture conditions of four different fish species, Striped bream (Lithognathus mormyrus), Pandora (Pagellus erytrinus), Annular sea bream (Diplodus annularis) and red mullet (Mullus barbatus), which were caught up with bottom trawl 22 mm mesh seized, were investigated and their behaviours were observed.Striped bream, Pandora and annular sea bream were adopted to rearing conditions well, except the red mullet and they maintenanced to their natural conditions at the end of the adaptation period. During the this period, red mullets were survived , weren't feeding. Average weight of this species reduced from 37.7 % to 34.1 % and their survival rates were lower than the others. Adopted species demonstrated that different separation, behaviour and feeding regime in the tanks. We were diagnosticated that Pandora and Annular sea bream consummated pellets hasty and willingly despite of stream bream but Red mullets were not keen on pellets. In conclusion, striped bream, Annular sea bream and Pandora were adapted to culture conditions well, but Red mullets exhausted to their body composition without feeding and they survived a long period in tank without showing and growth rate.
