The comparison of two years antibacterial susceptibility data of bacteria isolated from hospital

Abstract
In this study, culture results obtained from GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Department Laboratory datas were evaluated retrospectively between 1999 and 2000.1286 and 1375 cultures samples were investigated and, 218 (% 17) and 258 (% 19) of them were detected to be positive in 1999 and 2000, respectively. In 1999, gram positive bacteria contained 30 % (66) of all the bacteria and gram negative bacteria contained 70 % (152) of those, whereas in 2000, gram positive bacteria for 37 % (95) and gram negative for 63 % (163). In 1999 and 2000, the most commonest isolated bacteria among gram positive bacteria was Staphylococcus aureus (20 % and 18 %, respectively). On the other hand, more common bacteria among gram negatives were Pseudomonas aeruginosa (19 %) and Escherichia coli (19 %) in 1999 and Klebsiella pneumoniae (23 %) in 2000. Regarding with two years, imipenem and cephaperazonesulbactam were more effective antibacterials against gram negatives. Finally, the bacterial flora of our hospital and antibacterial susceptibilty of those were found change in two years. Key words: Bacterial flora, culture, culture antibiogram.

Bu çalışmada GATA Haydarpaşa Eğitim Hastanesi İnfeksiyon Hastalıkları ve Klinik Mikrobiyoloji Servisi Laboratuarı'nda 1999 ve 2000 yıllarında incelenen kültür sonuçları retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi. 1999 ve 2000 yılında sırasıyla 1286 ve 1375 kültür sonucu incelendi ve bunların 218 (%17) ve 258 (%19)'inden mikroorganizma soyutlandı. 1999 yılında soyutlanan bakterilerin %30 (66)'unu gram pozitifler, %70 (152)'ini de gram negatifler oluştururken, 2000 yılında bu bakterilerin %37 (95)'sini gram pozitifler, %63 (163)'ünü de gram negatifler oluşturdu. Gram pozitif bakterilerden her iki yılda da en sık izole edilen bakteriler Staphylococcus aureus (%20 ve %18), gram negatif bakterilerden ise 1999'da Pseudomonas aeruginosa (%19) ve Escherichia coli (%19), 2000 yılında da Klebsiella pneumoniae (%23) idi. Her iki yıl göz önünde bulundurulduğunda gram negatiflerin en duyarlı olduğu antibiyotikler İmipenem ve Sefaperazon-sulbaktamdı. Sonuçta hastanemizin bakteri florasının ve bu bakterilerin antibiyotik duyarlılığının iki yıl içinde değişim gösterdiği saptandı.
