Abstract
Sphenochoanal polyp is a rare entity originating from sphenoid sinus. It may be confused with antrochoanal polyp. A proper preoperative radiological and endoscopic evaluation is mandatory to determine the choanal polyp type. We present a patient with bilateral concha bullosa accompanying sphenochoanal polyp. To the best of our knowledge, our case is unique in that it is the only sphenochoanapolyp associated with bilateral concha bullosa. Clinical, radiological fetures and surgical management of this rare clinical entity were discussed with the literature review.
Özet
Sfenokoanal polip sfenoid sinüsten kaynaklanan nadibir klinik durumdur.
