Results of keyhole appendectomy technique

Abstract

AIM: Appendectomy is one of the most commonly performed operations worldwide. We performed keyhole appendectomy technique successfully in 25 patients. We are presenting results of this technique. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Patients with acute appendicitis were operated with keyhole appendectomy technique. Patients with obesity perforated or plastron appendicitis were excluded. The diagnosis of acute appendicitis was established with history, physical examination, laboratory findings, ultrasonography and abdominal tomography. RESULTS: The keyhole appendectomy technique performed in 27 patients. There were 18 male and 9 female. Mean age was 28 (15-32). The keyhole appendectomy was successful in 25 patients. There were wound infection in 2 and hematoma in one patient. CONCLUSION: Keyhole appendectomy can be performed in young and non-obese patients with cosmetic advantages.

AMAÇ: Apendektomi dünyada en sık uygulanancerrahi operasyonlardandır. Minimal invaziv biryöntem olan keyhole apendektomi tekniğini 25hastaya başarı ile uyguladık. Bu çalışmamızınsonuçlarını sunuyoruz.MATERYALVE METOT: Akut apandisit tanısıalan hastalar çalışma süresince opere edildi.Obez hastalar ile preoperatif dönemde perforasyon ya da plastron tesbit edilen hastalarçalışma dışı bırakıldı.Tüm hastalarda akut apandisit tanısı anamnez,fizik muayene, laboratuartetkikleri, tüm batın USG ve tüm batın tomografisi tetkiklerinin sonuçlarına göre kondu.BULGULAR: Keyhole apendektomi tekniği 27hastaya uygulandı. Hastaların 18si erkek, 9ukadın idi. Ortalama yaş 28 olup 15 ile 32 arasında değişmekteydi.Toplam 27 hastanın25inde keyhole apendektomi tekniği başarı ileuygulandı.
