Our Anesthetic Experience withCapto-melic Dysplasia: Case Report

Abstract

Camptomelic dysplasia is a disease which is a subgroup of skeletal dysplasias. Cur-vature in the lower limb bones;thoracic deformities, micrognathia,microcephaly,heart, kidney abnormalities are some of the major problems in this disease. Bone and cartilage anomalies that can cause tracheo-malacia can occur in this disease eigther. In the early periods of childhood disease can be mortal but if patients can deal with respi-ratory problems further medical intervention can be neccesary.In this cases, patients mighthaveneedorthopedicoperations.Because of the abnormalities in the struc-ture of the ribcage and tracheomalacia this patients have high risk of postoperative res-piratory failure and need special anesthetic consiredation.In this case we want to share our clinic ex-perience because of respiratory failure in a 4 year old female patient with the diagnosis of Camptomelic dysplasia whom is having an operation for her pes equinovarus.

Özet

Kamptomelik displazi; iskelet displazileri grubunda yer alan; özellikle alt ekstremite kemiklerinde kavislenme, toraks deformiteleri ile mikrognati, makrosefali, kalp, böbrek anomalileri trakoemalazi gözlenen kemik, kıkırdak anomalilerinin eşlik edebildiği bir hastalıktır. Çocukluk erken döneminde solunum yetmezliği nedeniyle mortal seyredebildiği gibi hayatta kalanların bir seri ortopedik operasyon geçirmesi gerekebilir. Göğüs kafesi yapısındaki anomaliler ve trakeomalazi nedeniyle anestezi uygulaması özellikli ve postoperatif solunum yetmezliği riski fazla olan bir hasta grubudur. Biz de; kamptomelik displazi tanılı 4 yaşında kız çocuk olgumuzu, pes ekinovarus nedeniyle operasyonu sonrasında gelişen solunum yetmezliği nedeniyle sunmak istedik.
