Laparoscopic Treatment of an Atypical Vesicosygmoid Fistula

Abstract
Spontaneous fistula formation between the bladder and the sigmoid colon is a very rare entity. In general, the underlying cause is that the sigmoid colon diverticulum is inflated and perforated in the bladder wall. Sometimes, it can also develop due to infiltration of sigmoid tumors to the bladder wall. Inflammatory bowel diseases, tuberculosis, lymphoma, trauma, and previous surgical interventions are other potential underlying causes. Herein, a case of a vesicosigmoid fistula that developed spontaneously without any underlying specific etiology is presented.
Özet
Mesane ile sigmoid kolon arasında spontan fistül oluşumu oldukça nadirdir. Genelde altta yatan sebep sigmoid kolon divertiküllerinin inflame olması ve mesane duvarına perfore olmasıdır. Bazen sigmoid kolondaki tümörlerin mesaneye infiltre olması ile de gelişebilir. Bunların dışında inflamatuvar bağırsak hastalıkları, tüberküloz, lenfoma, travma ve geçirilmiş cerrahi girişimler altta yatan diğer sebeplerdir. Biz bu sebeplerin hiçbirinin olmadığı, spontan gelişen ve nedeni belli olmayan bir vezikosigmoid fistül olgusunu sunduk.
